Smoothies are a very effective (and enjoyable) way to lose weight.
By providing your body with the ideal nutrients (vitamins, minerals, protein..) the smoothie meal replacement system is a very healthy way to lose weight.
Bear in mind the typical ‘weight loss smoothie plan’ shown below is only one type of plan – to get the best possible results you will need a plan that has been designed to work for you.
For example there is a big difference in the smoothie plan you use
- if you have a slow or fast metabolic rate,
- Your daily protein requirement.
- If you get hungry / snack between meals

Weight Loss smoothie plan
The plan below has been designed for someone whose ultimate target is ‘to lose at least 2 stone’, (but see a real, noticeable difference within 1 month)
It is based on a lady who is 5 foot 2 tall, weighs 14 stone 5 lbs, has a reasonable healthy lifestyle but used to skip breakfast, works in an office (and only exercise is walking now and then, because she was to tired).
The smoothie diet plan has been designed to help tackle her ‘key hurdles’ to losing weight:
- Provide Regular Meals.
- The Right Amount of Calories, Protein, etc.
- Boost Energy.
1. Main Meals…
No change, keep eating as normal without making major changes.
Especially continue to eat a balanced healthy meal, with plenty of fresh fruit & vegetables. As a ‘rough’ guideline 1/2 vegetables, 1/4 protein and 1/4 carbohydrates.
Try and limit it to about 400 to 500 calories per meal.
2. Replace 2 Meals per day with a weight loss Smoothie…
The smoothies we recommend contain a blend of all the essential nutrients (vitamins, minerals, etc.) with personalised protein levels. In addition they contain low glycemic index ingredients to boost energy.
How to make a weight loss smoothie
There are 2 methods possible :
Method 1. A basic weight loss meal replacement smoothie
Simply blend orange juice or milk with a specialised smoothie mix powder.
The powders come in a variety of flavours – and the one we recommended was designed to fit in with her individual lifestyle and objectives.
But it’s over 200 calories per smoothie ?
It’s the most popular question. For weight loss you should never go below 1000 calories per day – as that slows down your bodies metabolism (thinking it’s starving). By replacing 2 meals per day with a smoothie and eating about 500 calories for your main meal – you are consuming 1000 calories per day.
(This plan was designed for someone with a low resting metabolic rate, but relatively high daily protein requirement.)
For example :
233 Calories – 15 g Protein
203 Calories – 24 g Protein
The one on the left is simply blending smoothie mix powder with orange juice, and the one on the right with milk. Very quick and easy you just need the powder and a liquid, mix and drink after meals.
It’s as easy as that !
Method 2. A complex weight loss smoothie
The basic smoothies above are very easy (and quick) to make. But in addition there are lots and lots of recipes to make them more interesting. (Click here for Recipes)
For example the ‘strawberry orange smoothie recipe on the left is our most popular weight loss smoothie tastes great and provide extra protein.
Whereas the ‘strawberry apricot smoothy’ recipe on the right is not very high in calorie, provides extra protein and is very easy to make.
What’s the smoothie mix powder / Formula 1 ?
For losing weight you will get much better results by consistently replacing 2 meals per day (as opposed to eating loads once a day).
For any diet plan there is a real danger that after an enthusiastic start on Monday the good intentions might start to ‘wane’ by Friday !!
That is why we make our smoothie diet plans as easy (and enjoyable) as possible !
